Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA) filament is a low temperature thermoplastic typically used for support structures in 3D prints. It’s also used in a number of applications such as textile manufacturing, paper production, and fishing applications. PVA is water-soluble and quite useful for 3D printing with dual extruders. When the final object is submersed in water, PVA will dissolve leaving only the primary plastic (for example, PLA).
Extrusion Temperature Range: 85 oC – 195 oC
Storage Requirements: Always keep PVA dry! Store in an airtight container or bag at room temperature. Contact with water or moisture will dissolve PVA. Use airtight storage containers, buckets, or zip lock bags to keep the material free from humidity.
